One of our new Intriguing Faces painting series. Every Face tells a story; some stories are easy to guess, others may be a bit of a surprise, but all are intriguing.
Marisol has always been a city girl as were her mother and grandmother before her. She didn’t need a car or even a drivers license until recently. She used to shudder at the very idea of suburbia and big gas guzzling SUVs.
She recently married the Love of her Life and moved to the Suburbs and finds herself completely out of her element. Today, not only is Marisol Queen of the Cul de Sac but also Queen of her new blended Family. To fit in, Marisol retired most of her black D&G wardrobe and now wears vibrant Athleisure-Wear colors that she wouldn’t have been caught dead in before. Once such clothes were worn just for Yoga class, now they are her daily uniform.
She drives the kids EVERYWHERE (school, soccer, band, dance, play dates . . . ) and is very grateful for the comfortable six seater car. She does bi-weekly Costco and Target runs, lives for Amazon Prime Deliveries and plays in a weekly Mah-Jongg game with the neighbor ladies where copious amounts of Pino Grigio is consumed.
Marisol’s life has changed in ways she never envisioned. She's happy but longs for a weekend in the City.
